She who pwns people with history

“In Egypt the Greek dynasty of the Ptolemies was the successor to the native Pharaohs, exploiting through a highly organized bureaucracy the great natural resources of the Nile Valley”.

TV Tropes - The Cleopatras

One Steve Limit: Averted. Several members of the family throughout several generations share the same names (which is why many family members are identified by second names or nicknames). In particular, the kings are all called Ptolemy, and the queens are almost all called Cleopatra (the series is called The Cleopatras, after all).

Cleopatra! Being Queen matters, nothing else does. Remember that.

Thank you mother, I will….

For the Evulz: Pot Belly often jerked around members of his own family, purely for his own amusement.

“You yourself are Greek”
“But not all!”
“You are Greek! Greek women do not show their age!”

A-Z of Cleopatra - Q is for Queens

Cleopatra VII may be the most famous Queen by the name Cleopatra, and the one most people automatically think of when they hear the name, but there were six other Cleopatras that ruled as Queen of Egypt.

(There is some debate about whether Cleopatra VI Tryphaena was the same person as Cleopatra V, the mother of Cleopatra VII, or whether she was Cleopatra VII’s sister, but I chose to include her as her own person and Cleopatra VII’s sister as we don’t know for certain)

Easily Forgiven: Forgive an uncle who raped your daughter, murdered one of your brothers and beheaded your son? If doing so means you get to remain Queen of Egypt, sure!

The Atoner: Pharaoh Pot Belly decides to appear to become one of these later in his reign. This isn’t because he’s generally sorry for the things he’s done. He just wants to repair his 0% Approval Rating which came about thanks to his previous “massacre people randomly to keep them in line” method of ruling.
